Client John Butler is an award winning high school history teacher
A mobile tablet app called Flow of History. Starting with a novel idea of flowcharting history, a complete new interface and structure was put in place to appeal to the high school student and act as a companion to traditional history textbooks.
—Visualizing human history as a series of connected flows with companion timeline contextualizing the major milestones of the period
—The experience was redesigned around the unique capabilities of the mobile tablet platform
—A new identity was also established anticipating the "flattening" of future mobile operating systems' interfaces.
—The previous version employed a vertical timeline as well as boxes, heavy lines and confusing color coding.
